He has two Marks – a pair of yellow-coloured goat eyes, and two small horns growing out of his forehead. He has set up shop in Manhattan for the last few decades, where he offers his exceptional services to anyone desperate enough – no exceptions. If you’re a Mundane, he’ll charge a lot extra. He’s got nothing against Mundanes. He loves and frequently enjoys the company of Mundanes. Hell, he went out of his way to pick a Sighted Mundane off the street and raised it into young adulthood. The extra-high price is just to deter them from doing something they can’t come back from, as is usually the case. Saves him having to waste a whole Tuesday playing clean-up crew while high on some Fey shit.

He comes from one of the longest lineages around, with Inquisitors, Consuls, and legends among them. His family has managed to hold onto the small-but-influential Cornwall Institute since it was first constructed, the first Institute on British soil. He attended the Shadowhunter Academy and excelled at everything. After which, he spent a year at the London Institute before returning home, like all Greybacks before him. Except, Barnabas never did, and for very good reason. All isn’t as it appears in the Cornwall Institute, and Barnabas wanted no more part of it. He took a portal to the New York Institute and befriended the one person who didn’t give two shits that his dad was Erasmus Greyback, the retired Iron Inquisitor. So, it makes sense that those two would go on to become fast, lifelong friends and each other’s Parabatai.
